Ding Dong......

He's Gone!
And I hate to say it....
OK, maybe not....
But, FINALLY!
I know there are much better things to talk about than the going's on of American Idol, but seeing that I have been sick all week, this is the most you will get out of me.

In more important news, please say a little prayer when you can for my friend Lynette and her mom Gerry. Gerry underwent her mastectomy yesterday. Before the surgery they thought that she may have had stage 3, but after months of chemotherapy it appears that she now has stage 4 breast cancer. They took the entire breast, but left the lymph nodes. Not good. She will now have to undergo radiation to try to get any remaining cancer. Please take a moment today to wish her a speedy recovery from her surgery, and strength for the future.

With that being said, please take care of yourselves. Visit your doctor regularly. Have your yearly mamograms. Gerry was so busy with her own life and those around her that she neglected an open wound for MONTHS! In this day and age, this is unacceptable. There is NO EXCUSE for this with all of the education and awareness that is out there. Not only did this decision affect her own body, but it greatly impacted those around her as well. What she thought was a selfless act, taking care of her failing husband, turned out to be a very selfish one. Her family has been turned upside down by this.

Lynette, please know that your friends are here for you always. This battle will continue to go uphill, and we will all be here for you when you need a little push. Stay strong, stay positive, have faith. I love you.

Constructive Critisism...

Looking for some CC from my crafty girls, and anyone else stopping by.
I don't usually show my work here.... kinda shy about that one.

but I thought I would show you what I accomplished during this past weekend at the Crop-tastic weekend at SPM. One of the benefits of working an entire weekend.... I get to play when I work.... (Thank you Doreen! You rock!)

So, please let me know what you think: Good, bad or indifferent, I want to hear it all.

OK, bring it on.... I want to know what you think.
